Class Descriptions

All our classes are 60 or 75 minutes long to allow ample time for centring and relaxation at the beginning and end of each class. We recommend a regular yoga practice incorporating different styles of classes to help balance the yin and yang in our bodies and our lifestyles. 

vinyasa flow (level 1/2)

Fluid and flowing in style, connecting movement with the breath and leaving you energised and glowing. Some yoga experience is recommended.

Rise & Shine (level 1/2)

An energising vinyasa style flow to start your day. Some yoga experience is recommended.

SLOW FLOW (level 1)

With slower transitions between the poses and a nourishing focus, slow flow is suitable for all ages and levels. Recommended for complete beginners.

Yin Yoga (all levels)

A deep meditative stretch with long holds in the poses targeting the connective tissues and promoting the flow of chi (energy) throughout the body. All levels.

VINYIN (level 1/2)

A perfect balance of yin and yang. Start with an energising flow and transition into a nourishing yin sequence for a deep meditative stretch. Some yoga experience recommended.

relax & restorE (all levels)

Slip out of your week and into the weekend with a deeply relaxing and nourishing class for all levels including meditation, restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

RELEASE & RELAX (ALL LEVELS)

Unravel and unwind at the end of a busy day with some slow, gentle movement followed by deep relaxation & meditation to ease physical and mental tension.

INTERMEDIATE VINYASA (level 2)

A stronger flow class suitable for intermediate students or those seeking a more dynamic style of practice to build strength and stamina as well as flexibility. Be prepared to be challenged and bring an open mind and a sense of humour!

VINYASA TABATA (ALL LEVELS)

A fitness/interval training inspired vinyasa class. Develop the power to push to build strength and stamina, and explore the power of pausing between intervals to rest and find stillness.

yoga for back care (all levels)

A therapeutic class using the BackMitra or alternative props to awaken the spine, relieve back pain and increase breath capacity.

MINDFUL SLOW FLOW (ALL LEVELS)

Incorporating mindful movement and breath awareness to help manage stress & anxiety, taught from a trauma and mental health informed perspective.

monthly meditation (all levels)

A guided mindfulness meditation practice followed by a deeply relaxing yoga nidra (yoga sleep) to prepare you for the week ahead.
