RESTORATIVE YOGA BRISBANE

Are you interested in practicing restorative yoga in a tranquil, serene boutique yoga setting? SoHo Yoga offers a safe and inclusive environment with hand-picked, professional yoga teachers who will share an authentic yoga experience.

One of the styles of yoga we offer is the deeply relaxing practice of restorative yoga. Restorative yoga elicits the body’s natural relaxation response, allowing it to heal and repair at a deep cellular level. The approach is to heal and restore energy to your body, rather than exercise it.

What to Expect from a Restorative Yoga Class

To relax and restore your body towards a healthy balanced state, you will be guided through a series of supported poses that you rest in for up to 15 minutes. This supports the nervous system to relax, releases serotonin and melatonin to boost your mood and induce healthy sleep patterns, and promotes self-healing.

To experience the full benefits of restorative yoga, our Relax & Restore classes include guided relaxation which supports your body to heal. In Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), your mind and body are induced into a deeply relaxed, calm state, where regeneration can occur faster. You will be guided through a full-body journey of awareness. It is said that just 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 3 hours of sleep.

Many Yoga Options Available

Our Relax & Restore classes are only one of the many offerings at SoHo Yoga, with classes alternate Friday evenings in our beautiful Grange studio. If you wish to incorporate more yoga into your life, or you feel called to become a yoga teacher, we offer 35 different classes each week for beginners to intermediate students level, plus teacher training for dedicated yogis.
